Rye New Hampshire
The Housing Partnership turned to Cyma 2 for Architectural Services on a new 22 unit all Affordable Elderly Housing Development in the town of Rye New Hampshire.
Cyma 2 developed a "Cluster" concept that provided a greatly reduced project foot print on the 10 acre site.
Each Cluster is composed of two structures, each structure contains four dwelling units and four garaged cars. These two structures face each other to create a car court and a common lawn between them. This Common lawns supports the smaller community of eight residents.
The Clusters are grouped on a loop road that provides visitor parking and emergency vehicular access to the units. In the center of the loop we have designed a Community Building for social events involving the Greater Community of 22 units.
The Architecture reflects a rural vernacular farm house and attached ancillary structures.
