Middleborough Downtown Partnership, Middleborough, MA CYMA 2 worked on this project with the Middleborough Downtown Partnership and various building owners as part of a facade improvement program. Design issues were identified for each building and cost estimates and improvement schedules provided. The Pierce Building, a late nineteenth century Italianate building, was restored to its original condition through careful analysis of materials and construction methods. Fifty-one Center Street required the removal of an imitation barn facade, after which the original Colonial design was restored. The building received a Renaissance Award for Preservation from the Plymouth County Development Council.
