Hanson Commuter Rail Station Neighborhood, Hanson, MA CYMA 2 requested to study the South Hanson Commuter Rail Station Neighborhood. The goals were to increase economic activity and viability of South Hanson and to reduce traffic conflicts. Specific objectives included: improve and increase residential use, encourage use of the Commercial Rail Station area, improve and increase commercial activity, utilize natural recreational/educational resources and improve visual characteristics off the neighborhood. The tools which were recommended are: zoning and land use, public/street landscaping and traffic control and private ownership design guidelines.
