Friends Child Care, Brookline, MA Cyma 2 was retained by our client to create a flexible and colorful space for this child care center set in an urban environment. The client required spaces that could be changed constantly and still have maximum functionality as well as warmth and cheerfulness. The use of bold but soft green, blue, yellow and magenta colors act as a backdrop for the program activities; reading, eating, resting and playing. The neutral but accented carpeted floor surface and sculpted ceiling reinforce the flowing together of three spaces. The Facility accommodates 7 infants, 9 toddlers and 18 preschoolers. Outdoor play space is available in an adjacent public park.
