The Exchange Conference Center at the Fish Pier, Boston, MA Arrowstreet, Inc. retained the services of Mark Nielsen, principal architect of CYMA 2, as a design consultant on this project. It serves as a poignant example of sophisticated multimedia presentation equipment and communications technology being integrated into an historic structure to create something which is brand new and yet respectful of the original structure. The grand hall, originally the room in which fish were weighed and prices set each day, now can accommodate nine rear projection screens separately or linked into a large screen. The room itself converts from a light and airy space with views onto the harbor and up through a skylight into a darkened hall for presentations at the touch of a finger from the podium.
