Boston Housing authority, ADA Compliance, Various locations
The Boston Housing authority has turned to Cyma 2 to address ADA compliance issues in a number of elderly housing sites through out the City of Boston, J.J. Carroll Elderly Housing, St. Botolph, and various other locations. In most cases this has involved the construction of wheelchair ramps and accessible toilets for community rooms.

The particular site pictured here is J.J. Carroll. On this project we reconstructed a front patio, rebuilding the brick walls and providing a new concrete slab. We added a new ramp, benches, and light fixtures. The stone wall at the ramp matches the stone retaining wall at the property edge which is visible from the porch.

This is a good example of a sensitive design solution to a routine accessibility problem that many facility owners often face.
