Riverside Place, Haverhill, MA This 60 unit apartment building was built in Downtown Haverhill Massachusetts. It is in a Historic District and faces both Washington Street to the south and the Merrimack River to the north. This urban site previously accommodated three large brick mill buildings lost to a 10 alarm fire in 1989. The site has remained a parking lot until now, when a new commuter rail from Boston and an upturn in the economy has created favorable conditions to develop the property. This project has enjoyed the support of the mayor's office and its planning department. It has been designed to integrate with a new pedestrian boardwalk planned along the river’s edge, which will connect downtown to its waterfront.
